WORK EXPERIENCE

Private Contractor: CTO, LAMP Developer, Project Manager, Sales        February 1997 - present

I am currently a private contractor for various organizations and companies. I have been developing web-based applications in the languages listed below and, at times, directing a small team to get the job done. I have managed, designed and developed web based systems for numerous clients using: HTML, AJAX, JQUERY, DHTML, CSS, XML, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, Linux, Windows Servers, Solaris systems, IIS, Apache, Weblogic, Tomcat, Flash, Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, CATS, Pinnacle Card and OSCommerce.

                Project Summary:

Turner Gas Pricebook: I have created and managed (since 2005) a web-based LAMP system for Turner Gas which generates and maintains their pricing integrity for all their clients. It runs many automated processes to update the cost of diesel which in turn spawns the modification of all client prices and sends them an email notification of the price change. To reach this final price there is a large and easy-to-use web-based interface/GUI their administrators use to input a multitude of calculations such as miles, drivers wages, region, supplier, etc., which the system then takes and calculates. (private showing only)

Gold Standard Automotive Network: For just over one year I created a web-based LAMP system to manage GSAN in its’ entirety. GSAN is a company that sold discounted maintenance programs to the public, auto dealers and insurance brokers. I built the application process, database, admin, customer, dealer and sales areas, credit card processing, security, etc. (private showing only)

Carific!: Carific is a web-based LAMP system that enables an Auto Dealer to manage their inventory and to list their vehicles for purchase to other Auto Dealers. www.carific.com

Renters Legal Liability: RLL is a provider of Renters/Condo Insurance. I built a system that could manage a Housing Complex’s daily tasks, renters, maintenance, payments, move-in/move-out, application, etc. www.rllinsure.com

O’Currance Teleservices Applications: O’Currance Teleservices Over 3 years I created a myriad of web-based LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) applications that ranged from an Agent Scheduler, Agent Administration/Reports, ABRA Integration (payroll), InterTel Integration and Reporting. All external systems were of various platforms such as Windows Server, Solaris Sun, Linux, MSSQL, Oracle, DBF, etc., which I integrated into one singular web-based system to read and write to the perspective originating databases. www.ocurrance.net

LanguageCalls LTD: (Beijing, China) In 2006 I was contracted as the CTO for LanguageCalls LTD to redesign a system which taught languages in their native tongue via custom VOIP applications working seamlessly with the web-based WAMP system. I successfully redesigned and implemented a system that could schedule students/teachers for lessons in their own time-zone, sent out reminders, collected fees, paid out teachers, support area with trouble ticketing and complete administration area to oversee everything and generate reports. (no longer active site)

Other Systems: This is not it, there are many other systems I have been involved with or built myself that are not in this list. If there is anything online needed to be built I can build it, manage the team and take it from 0 to 1 Million in record time with the appropriate funding.

iLumin Corp: JSP Programmer & GUI Design:     1996 -1997

Designed and Developed XML documents for online secure digital signature Weblogic/JSP based system. XML documents had to match physical pre-existing documents using css absolute positioning. I created the first digitally signed home closing set of documents for Fannie May. I was the main designer for all their clients’ personal sites based off the iLumin product. Other clients I created documents for were Freddie Mac and Utah State Court of Appeals. Company relocated in 1997 to New Orleans.

America Online: Technical Support Trainer:     1994 – 1996

Duties included: Tier III Support Calls and the training of new recruits to work as AOL’s technical support staff for the Ogden, UT call-center. This position required the knowledge of all of AOL’s platforms internal framework, programming and compatibility issues, modem strings and known issues, internet connectivity and theory, interpersonal skills, public speaking and demonstration.

RELATED EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

1992 - Present:     Personal Studies: I have constantly improved my methodology and knowledge of the ever changing world of web-based systems and have taken advantage of the vast array of knowledge and experience in the Open Source community to expand everything I know about IT (Information Technology). I don’t have any degrees or certifications and frankly in this industry they don’t mean much. I have hired many people who went through all sorts of training, degrees, MBA’s, etc., and nothing taught them more than being on the job and gaining the experience of real live situations. I in no way condemn the pursuit of a certificate or formal education as one of my life goals is to complete my 4 year college degree. I was enrolled in a few colleges, however, while in school was recruited by companies such as iLumin and LanguageCalls which halted my formal education and gave me invaluable experience.
